ORDER PROCESSING:
- Please allow 48 hours to process your order.
- Expect an email within 48 hours to let you know your order is on the way!
STORE PICKUP:
- 6667 McLean Road, Lake Cowichan, BC Canada V0R 2G0
- Orders can be picked up daily, from 9:30am - 5:00pm.
- An email will be sent when your order is ready for pickup.
LOCAL DELIVERY:
- We deliver locally once a week on Wednesday's, our delivery range includes Duncan, Mill Bay, Shawnigan Lake, Cobble Hill, Maple Bay, Crofton, Chemainus, Ladysmith, Lake Cowichan, Honeymoon Bay and Youbou.
- We have a flat rate of $8.95 with no limit on the amount of items you have purchased.
- If no one is available to receive your parcel please provide where the parcel can be safely placed.
- A picture will be sent to your email showing the parcel has been delivered.
- We cannot be responsible for theft that may occur after the parcel is delivered.
- We cannot leave parcels in lobby's of condominiums or apartment buildings. Please make arrangements to have someone home or have someone that can accept the parcel for you.
- An email will be sent when your order is out for delivery.
FREE SHIPPING ON BOOKS, MOVIES, & MUSIC ON ORDERS OVER $99.00 CAD:
- Online orders of $99 CAD or more through our website, will ship via Surface Mail to anywhere in Canada (excluding territories) free of charge.
- Shipping costs and any applicable taxes are not included in the $99 CAD total.
- Free shipping applies only to orders placed via our website at lafabrands.ca.
- Please note that some conditions do apply. For purchases that are very heavy orders (for example: multi-volume sets or very large in size) we may need to contact you for additional shipping charges. We will contact you if needed.
DOMESTIC SHIPPING RATES AND ESTIMATES:
- Shipping charges /options for your order will be calculated and displayed at checkout.
- Purchases of single CDs or Movies in regular slim cases that are $12.95 or less can be shipped by Canada Post Oversized Lettermail without tracking. This is automatically calculated and displayed at checkout.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING (USA):
- We offer international shipping to the USA.
- Shipping charges / options for your order will be calculated and displayed at checkout.
- Your order may be subject to import duties and taxes (including VAT), which are incurred once a shipment reaches your destination.
- LAFA Brands is not responsible for these charges if they are applied and are your responsibility as the customer.

Absolutely, please purchase the item online and check off "Pick Up" in the shipping option.
Once the order is processed, we will send you a email letting you know that your order is ready for Pick Up.
Currently we are not buying any used books at this time. Please check our FAQ page to see when we are accepting used books.
When we do start accepting used books, condition is everything. We don't accept books with rips, torn pages, smells, missing dust jackets, stains or books with any writing or highlighting.
WE DO NOT ACCEPT:
Textbooks, magazines, encyclopedia sets, pocket books or library books.
We are always interested to see what your have. Please send us a email with photos of your new and used items with your asking price. We will let you know if we are interested or not in those items.
We are always curious to see what you have, condition is everything.
Music: We are interested in what CD's you are selling. Cd's must be complete and in very good condition. We do not buy records or cassettes at this time.
Movies: We are interested in what Blu-Rays you may have. The Blu-Rays must have all the included discs and the discs must be free of scratches. The artwork and cases must be clean and in very good condition.
We are not buying DVD's, at this time. When we do, we will be looking for Movies and TV Shows in the Widescreen format only. In very good condition, free of scratches and any damage.
We are always interested in what video games and working consoles you have for sale, condition is everything. Please send us a email of what you have for sale.
New: A brand-new, unused, unopened Blu-Ray or DVD in perfect condition.
Used: We only buy and sell used Blu-Rays and DVDs in the best possible condition.
When you purchase a used movie, you can expect the disc to be free of all but the lightest of surface marks. The artwork to be in very good condition and the case may have light surface wear.
Used Movies may show some signs of use, but if there are significant details or defects, we will describe the item's condition in the condition notes.
Please expect any digital codes to be expired or previously used.
Our used Movies are guaranteed to play without skipping.
If the Movie does not play correctly, please reach out to us to request a return for a refund within 15 Days of receiving the item. Refund will be issued once we receive the returned Movie.
Yes we do, please pay first on our website, we will place the item on hold for you to pick up at a later time.
New: A brand-new, unused, unread copy in perfect condition.
Like New: A copy that looks unread and in perfect condition. Dust jacket is
intact, with no nicks or tears. The spine has no signs of creasing. Pages
are clean and are do not have any notes or folds of any kind. May have a
remainder mark. (Usually black or red in colour and is usually a dot or
line on the bottom of the book on the page edges).
Very Good: A copy that has been read but is in great
condition. May have slight cosmetic defects such as marks, wears, cuts,
bends and crushes on the cover, pages, spine and dust jacket if applicable.
Pages and dust cover (if applicable) are intact and do not have any notes
or highlighting. The spine remains undamaged. The book may contain a remainder mark
(Usually black or red in colour and is usually a dot or line on the bottom
of the book on the page edges).
Good: A copy that has been read but in clean condition. The spine, cover, pages and
dust jacket (if applicable) may show signs of wear such as marks, wears, cuts,
bends and crushes. Pages and dust cover (if applicable) are intact and do
not have any notes or highlighting. The book may contain a remainder mark (Usually
black or red in colour and is usually a dot or line on the bottom of the book
on the page edges).
Acceptable: All pages are intact; the cover is intact. The spine, cover, pages and dust
jacket (if applicable) may show signs of considerable wear such as marks, wears,
cuts, bends and crushes. Pages can include limited notes in pen or in highlighter,
but the notes do not obscure the text. The book may contain a remainder
mark (Usually black or red in colour and is usually a dot or line on the bottom
of the book on the page edges).
New: A brand-new, unused, unopened Video Game in perfect condition.
Used: We only buy and sell used Video Games in the best possible condition.
All video games are tested.
When you purchase a used video game, you can expect the disc to be free of all but the lightest of surface marks. The artwork and manual (if the game comes with a manual) to be in very good condition and the case may have light surface wear.
Please expect any digital codes to be expired or previously used.

New: A brand-new, unused, unopened CD or vinyl record in perfect condition.
Used: We only buy and sell used CDs in the best possible condition.
When you purchase a used CD, you can expect the disc to be free of all but the lightest of surface marks. The insert and inlay to be in very good condition, the case is usually replaced unless the case is unique in some way.
Used CDs may show some signs of use, but if there are significant details or defects, we will describe the item's condition in the condition notes.
Our used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping.
If the CD does not play correctly, please reach out to us to request a return for a refund within 15 Days of receiving the item. Refund will be issued once we receive the returned CD.
We also listed which distributor has distributed the CD. Depending on the distributor and the age of the CD, the distributor may not have a UPC code on the back.
Returns:
We have a 7-day return policy, which means you have 7 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package.
Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues:
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
Exceptions / non-returnable items:
Clearance items, used books & selected merchandise are final sales and we will notify you as such before the order is finalized.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.
Exchanges:
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.
Refunds:
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not.
If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
